Engineering Technician

TL;DR

Engineering Technician (Card Production): Verifying and validating new products and enhancements for instant issuance card printers, integrated modules supporting indenting, impressing, UV curing, lamination, embossing with an accent on security, software, firmware, electrical, chemical, mechanical components. Focus on executing verification and validation testing, configuring printers and systems, documenting issues in Jira, isolating problems, collaborating with development teams on root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Location: On-site in Shakopee, MN, United States. No relocation.

Salary: $21.85-$32.05 per hour (depending on geographic location, education, skills, experience). Eligible for discretionary annual incentive plan.

What you will do

• Execute verification and validation testing for new products, modules, and enhancements.
• Configure card printers, software, and systems for test environments.
• Document and track issues in Jira, isolate to major component level.
• Collaborate with development teams on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Order supplies and maintain test lab, systems, and environment.
• Take direction from multiple sources.

Requirements

• Understanding of safety when operating electromechanical systems and devices.
• Experience with Windows operating system.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Word).
• Understands logic, dependencies, and cause-effect relationships.
• Understanding of black box test methodology.

Nice to have

• Ability to utilize AI to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
