Advanced Engineering Technician

TL;DR

Advanced Engineering Technician (Electro-Mechanical): Support engineering activities including design, test, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, laser devices, and test equipment with an accent on interpreting drawings, troubleshooting, and process improvement. Focus on constructing, modifying, calibrating systems, conducting statistical experiments, and designing custom tooling.

Location: Onsite in Scottsdale, AZ. US Citizenship and Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher) required.

W2 hourly rate: $29.72 to $33.44 DOE (shift differential for 2nd/3rd shifts)

What you will do

• Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics
• Construct, modify, debug, troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and adjust tools, equipment, and systems
• Conduct, analyze, and document statistically based experiments to define process parameters
• Implement and document complex solutions for process improvement
• Design and construct basic tooling and fixtures for unique tasks
• Organize, analyze data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend improvements

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher)
• US Citizenship
• Associate's degree in related field + 3 years relevant experience (or HS diploma + 6 years)
• Solid knowledge and proficiency in fabrication tools
• Ability to fabricate complex hardware
• Solid knowledge of technical theory
