What you will do

• Act as a principal advisor to the CFO, managing complex finance assignments and preparing executive briefing materials.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning while analyzing financial results and risks.
• Oversee treasury activities, liquidity planning, cash flow management, and banking relationships.
• Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Coordinate tax, audit, and regulatory activities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive finance transformation projects, focusing on automation, standardization, and process redesign.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum 12 years of progressive finance experience within complex organizations.
• Proven expertise across planning, reporting, treasury, governance, and compliance.
• Experience supporting senior finance leadership and executive decision-making.
• Must be located in or able to work from The Hague, NL.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, or CFA.
• MBA with a focus on finance, strategy, or international business.
• Treasury qualifications or certifications in IFRS, internal audit, or tax.
• Project management certifications like PRINCE2 or PMP.
