What you will do

• Manage and maintain the sales ledger, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records.
• Proactively chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and written communication.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure prompt payment.
• Resolve billing queries and disputes efficiently in collaboration with internal teams.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Conduct credit checks and escalate problematic accounts for appropriate action.

Requirements

• Proven background in credit control, accounts receivable, or collections.
• Experience in chasing overdue invoices and allocating cash.
• Experience running credit checks (e.g., Creditsafe).
• Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally with customers ranging from SMEs to large corporates.
• Knowledge of Aged debt reports.
• Intermediate Excel knowledge, including VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
