International Financial Accountant

TL;DR

International Financial Accountant: Carry out month-end and year-end activities including accruals, fixed assets, and FX journals, along with weekly and monthly sales reporting and balance sheet reconciliations with an accent on multi-currency environments, VAT returns, and credit control. Focus on producing accurate financial reports, commission calculations, assisting with audits, and liaising with stakeholders across sales, AP, and HR.

What you will do

• Perform month-end and year-end activities including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, FX journals, and AP reconciliations.
• Produce weekly regional sales reports on invoicing and backlog for sales leads.
• Conduct month-end OPEX reviews, variance analysis, and prepare reporting schedules.
• Prepare full balance sheet reconciliation packs and sales commission calculations for Europe and APMEA.
• Handle credit control, chasing debts, VAT returns, and customer queries.
• Assist with year-end audit packs and ad-hoc analysis, working with AP on receipts allocation.

Requirements

• Located in London, UK for hybrid working
• Good Excel skills
• Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping
• Experience in multi-currency environments and VAT returns
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritise tasks
• Compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental systems
