Assembly Technician

TL;DR

Assembly Technician (USV Manufacturing): Production and testing of unmanned surface vehicles with an accent on building harnesses, sub-assemblies, installing vessel systems, and final completion. Location: Onsite in Valdosta, GA. U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required (ITAR/EAR restrictions, no sponsorship, E-Verify).

What you will do

• Lead safety practices, ensure proper PPE usage, and maintain clean, organized workstations.
• Assemble harnesses, sub-assemblies, hull and deck systems, and install sophisticated electronic vessel systems.
• Perform in-process quality checks, visual inspections, complete ISPC sheets, and report defects or issues.
• Participate in new model design reviews, prototyping, team meetings, and continuous improvement discussions.
• Manage critical equipment, tools, material handling, and chemical storage processes.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR/EAR compliance, no sponsorship).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years experience in boat manufacturing or similar preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and assembly diagrams.
• Familiarity with OSHA, ISO9001, and manufacturing practices.
• Strong attention to detail, safety commitment, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
• Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods, lift 25 lbs, climb ladders, work in noisy/dusty environments.
