TL;DR

Technical Talent Acquisition Advisor (Federal): Sourcing and placing cleared and uncleared technical talent for federal contracting business with an accent on security clearance requirements and compliance frameworks. Focus on building proactive pipelines for software engineers and cybersecurity analysts, ensuring audit readiness, and reducing time-to-fill.

Location: Remote-friendly; must reside in one of the 16 licensed US states (AL, CA, DE, DC, FL, GA, MD, NJ, NY, NC, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV). Occasional travel to Baltimore, MD or client sites may be required.

Salary: $43.00 - $70.00 per hour

What you will do

  • Partner with hiring managers and proposal teams to anticipate talent needs for federal task orders and contract awards.
  • Build proactive pipelines for cleared technical roles, including software engineers, cybersecurity analysts, and network engineers.
  • Source candidates through clearance-specific boards (ClearanceJobs, ClearedJobs.Net) and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Pre-screen candidates for technical qualifications and security clearance eligibility (Secret, TS/SCI).
  • Coordinate interviews and develop competitive offers aligned with contract terms and SCA wage determinations.
  • Maintain 100% compliance with OFCCP, EEOC, and FAR requirements within the ATS.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience recruiting for federal government contractors or within a cleared environment.
  • Proven track record of sourcing and placing candidates with active security clearances (Secret, TS/SCI).
  • Proficiency with ATS/CRM platforms and Boolean search techniques.
  • Deep understanding of federal security clearance levels and the e-QIP/SF-86 processes.
  • Must reside in one of the 16 specified US states.

Nice to have

  • AIRS, PHR, or SHRM-CP certifications.
  • Experience partnering with DoD SkillBridge or other military transition programs.
  • Familiarity with federal capture and proposal processes (RFPs, RFIs).
  • Established network of cleared technical talent.
