Senior Software Engineer, Cloud, Simulation (Embodied AI): Evolve core components of ’s simulation platform for developing and evaluating autonomous driving intelligence with an accent on robot emulator fidelity, visual fidelity, or efficient scaling. Focus on integrating machine-learned graphics subsystems, owning performance KPIs like cost and throughput, and ensuring high-fidelity scalable simulations.
Location: Hybrid role based in our office in London, United Kingdom. Combines office time for collaboration with work from home, core working hours.

What you will do
- Shape and implement technical roadmap for simulator in areas like robot emulator fidelity, visual fidelity, or scaling.
- Own key performance indicators for simulator cost, SLOs, throughput, and latency.
- Work cross-team with robotics, research, platform, and data teams to align dependencies and meet end-user needs.
- Integrate simulated robot components and machine-learned graphics into the simulation platform.
- Lead technical discussions, guide direction, and implement production-quality Python software.
Requirements
- 5+ years industry experience designing and programming software
- Experience with workflow orchestration systems (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Flyte) and/or data-intensive applications
- Excellent Python development skills
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes at user level
- Strong systems and data-oriented software design for reusability and extensibility
- Understanding of software performance issues and design tradeoffs
- Excellent communication and people engagement skills
Nice to have
- Experience in autonomous vehicles or robotics
- Proficiency with Go or C++
- Scaling simulations or data-intensive workloads
- Design, implementation, optimization of large-scale ML inference in cloud GPU environments
- Operating and scaling machine-learned graphics (NeRF, Gaussian Splatting, GenAI)
