Nurse Practitioner (MRI)

Location: Remote, Canada

Base salary: $125,000–$130,000 CAD annually, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments before MRI procedures, including medical-history reviews and procedure appropriateness checks.
• Educate patients about MRI procedures, scan findings, next steps, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care.
• Provide emotional support, answer patient questions, and communicate the implications of results.
• Prescribe medications when appropriate, provide referrals, and coordinate follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with legal, regulatory, privacy, and confidentiality requirements.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, nurses, physicians, referring practitioners, and clinical teams on coordinated care and quality improvement.

Requirements

• MScN or MN in the NP stream with provincial NP licensure.
• NP licenses in at least three Canadian provinces.
• At least three years of Nurse Practitioner experience.
• At least two years in a lead-type role or demonstrated experience managing clinical projects, initiatives, or team efforts.
• Strong consultation, active listening, patient education, communication, clinical documentation, time-management, and independent working skills.
• Comfort working with digital tools, ambiguity, changing processes, and distributed interdisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Primary care, radiology, oncology, or concierge medicine experience.
• Knowledge of MRI safety protocols, contraindications, and potential complications.
• Remote telemedicine or digital health experience.
• Experience managing clinical projects or operations.
