Patient Flow Nurse (fixed-term)

Location: Remote anywhere in Canada; availability required Monday to Sunday across day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. Travel: 0%.

Salary: CAD $85,000–$97,000 per year.

What you will do

• Coordinate and oversee virtual appointment scheduling based on provider availability and patient needs.
• Triage and prioritize patients between sites according to urgency and appropriate level of care.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and share patient-specific information before virtual appointments.
• Maintain accurate medical records, appointment details, visit outcomes, and virtual care reports.
• Coordinate lab-result follow-up and communicate results, including critical results, according to established processes.
• Support continuity of care when patients transition between virtual and in-person services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent experience, with good standing in the applicable governing College.
• Current CTAS certification and more than five years of experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in healthcare coordination, scheduling, administration, and familiarity with EHR systems.
• Previous exposure to telemedicine or virtual care, including virtual care platforms and basic technical troubleshooting.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, multitasking, documentation, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare processes, compliance, and patient privacy regulations.

Nice to have

• ACLS certification.
• Telephone Triage Nursing Certification.
• Multiple provincial nursing licenses.
