What you will do
- Own your territory and develop new clients with sales support and marketing team.
- Drive new business by establishing relationships, acting as thought leader, and solving client problems.
- Diagnose issues, suggest solutions, negotiate, and close deals as a trusted advisor.
- Position as industry expert by understanding client needs and maximizing value.
- Collaborate with peers on best practices, strategies, and proposal processes.
- Leverage Salesforce and Salesloft to manage pipeline, contacts, and opportunities.
- Work with existing clients for maximum deployment and respond to technical questions.
Requirements
- Located in Minnesota, Kansas, Iowa, or Illinois
- Proven sales experience, preferably in public works or GovTech/SaaS to municipalities (3-5 years)
- Track record of exceeding sales quotas and aggressive business growth
- Bachelor’s degree
- Understanding of local government workflows
- Hunter mentality, negotiating/closing skills, tech savviness, presentation skills
- Ability to travel regularly, valid driver’s license
