TL;DR

Team Leader - Financial Markets Services (APAC): Lead operations team providing day-to-day support for Markets & Treasury across ANZ & Asia with an accent on transaction processing, settlements, reporting, and reconciliations. Focus on driving process improvements, managing stakeholder escalations, and ensuring SLA compliance under Asia time zone hours.

Location: Hybrid in Sydney (AU), Monday to Friday 12:30pm–9:00pm (11:30am–8:00pm daylight saving) to support Asia time zone.

What you will do

  • Lead, coach and develop the FMS team for consistent high-quality outcomes
  • Oversee core operations including transaction processing, settlements, reporting, reconciliations and confirmations across ANZ & Asia
  • Act as primary stakeholder contact, handling daily requests, issues and escalations
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of financial market transactions per SLAs
  • Drive process improvements and operational initiatives with stakeholder coordination
  • Investigate and resolve cash and transaction reconciliation breaks

Requirements

  • 5+ years in senior Treasury or Markets Operations role, ideally regional
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and motivating teams
  • Strong knowledge of financial market products
  • Experience with payments & settlement systems (SWIFT, RTGS, securities platforms)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to work 12:30pm–9:00pm Monday-Friday in hybrid environment
