Staff Software Engineer (AI/ML)

What you will do

• Drive end-to-end delivery of AI-native products from prototypes to scalable production services.
• Architect and productionize AI platform components, including LLMs, vector databases, prompt-tuning systems, and agentic frameworks.
• Build agent capabilities such as MCP, cross-platform tool use, web browsing, and computer use.
• Improve AI products through performance metrics, user feedback, and rapid iteration.
• Partner with product managers and engineering teams to translate strategic goals into scalable platform architecture.
• Lead technology evaluation, operational excellence, and best-practice sharing across AI initiatives.

Requirements

• Extensive software engineering experience and a proven record of shipping and maintaining complex production-grade systems.
• Experience shipping and maintaining AI-native products or features, or significant personal AI projects.
• Strong ownership, execution, and collaboration skills, with a focus on rapid iteration and delivery.
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative or technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom from the first day of employment.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs and agentic systems.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, LangChain, or MLflow.
• Advanced understanding of the probabilistic systems behind modern LLMs.
• Experience building AI products in accuracy-sensitive domains such as finance.
