DevOps Engineer (GCP)

TL;DR

DevOps Engineer (GCP): Deploy and maintain application infrastructure collaborating with development teams with an accent on Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, ArgoCD, and Terraform. Focus on building automation pipelines, provisioning GCP resources, troubleshooting deployments, and documenting processes.

Location: Primarily remote with occasional required visits to the office in Coimbra, Portugal. Future offices planned in Aveiro and Porto.

What you will do

• Collaborate with development team to deploy and maintain application infrastructure.
• Develop and support tooling for streamlined product deployment and maintenance.
• Work with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and ArgoCD for deployments from dev to production.
• Support in-house and third-party applications including deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Write and manage automation pipelines for applications.
• Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform.
• Document processes and best practices.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in DevOps Engineering or related field.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure primarily GCP.
• Experience with Linux command line and networking in Kubernetes environments.
• Strong understanding of security best practices.
• Participating in on-call rotation.
• Willingness to dive into complex systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Postgres, Ansible, Redis, Jenkins.
• Understanding of scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Go.
• Experience working with distributed and remote teams.
