What you will do

• Develop and industrialize optical assembly processes and systems from concept through certification.
• Define equipment specifications and performance requirements for optical assembly machinery.
• Integrate automation and tooling solutions in collaboration with internal engineering teams and suppliers.
• Execute experimental testing in cleanroom environments to optimize assembly processes and equipment.
• Oversee equipment installation and site acceptance testing for transfer to contract manufacturing.
• Optimize product assembly flows, including active optical alignment and passive assembly sequences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in optical assembly or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software and experience programming manufacturing equipment.
• Fluency in English and French is required.
• Willingness to travel internationally on an occasional basis.

Nice to have

• Background in photonics, optoelectronics, or silicon photonics manufacturing.
• Experience in cleanroom or micro-assembly environments.
• Application of data-driven process optimization methods such as SPC, DOE, and FMEA.
• Experience working with automation platforms and contract manufacturing partners.
