Junior Compliance Counsel (Gaming)

Location: Hybrid in Barcelona, Spain

What you will do

• Support game compliance reviews throughout the game lifecycle, including testing, launches, new features, live operations, monetization mechanics, and platform submissions.
• Review generative AI and machine learning use cases and help maintain the AI compliance framework as regulations evolve.
• Provide day-to-day support on data processing agreements, impact assessments, privacy notices, cookie and consent frameworks, data subject requests, and vendor privacy matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor, marketing, and KOL agreements.
• Maintain policies, guidelines, templates, and playbooks for game compliance, privacy, and AI matters.
• Track regulatory developments and collaborate with Product, UA, Live Ops, HR, marketing, technology, and legal teams.

Requirements

• Approximately 3 years of legal experience, ideally involving technology, compliance, data privacy, or consumer-facing digital products.
• Master’s-level law degree from a recognized European, UK, or US institution.
• Working knowledge of GDPR and general familiarity with AI regulation.
• Strong legal drafting, analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
• Ability to collaborate across different time zones, languages, cultures, and communication styles in a fast-paced environment.
