Legal Attorney (AI & Intellectual Property)

Location: Madrid, Spain; based in the Madrid office four days a week, with either Monday or Friday working from home. Fixed-term contract from November 2026 through the end of June 2027.

What you will do

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial, vendor, marketing, partnership, sponsorship, acquisition and service agreements for Spain and Portugal.
• Advise on advertising, promotions, competitions, events, public relations, image rights, intellectual property and reputational matters.
• Provide guidance on data protection and GDPR-related contractual matters.
• Manage localization, rights exploitation, content clearance and anti-piracy matters across multiple territories.
• Support corporate governance, reorganizations, powers of attorney and cross-border projects across Spain, Portugal and EMEA.
• Improve legal operations through process automation, knowledge management, template optimization and responsible adoption of AI and other technologies; act as the Legal department’s InfoSec champion.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with substantial post-qualification experience in commercial, marketing and intellectual property matters in the entertainment or audiovisual sector or a law firm.
• Strong expertise in intellectual property law, especially media, content, licensing and rights exploitation.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish required.
• Strong knowledge of European law and EU regulatory frameworks relevant to media, marketing and data protection.
• Strong understanding of AI, technology and legal innovation, with an ability to provide practical, commercially focused advice.
• Highly organized, analytical, collaborative and adaptable, with sound ethical judgment and strong stakeholder-management skills.
