Tech Attorney / Legal Counsel (AI/Cybersecurity)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid work with up to 2 days per week from home

What you will do

• Advise the Enterprise Information Security Office on emerging cybersecurity regulatory requirements affecting products and services.
• Guide Technology & Engineering teams and business units on cybersecurity, resilience, data, and regulatory requirements throughout product development and evolution.
• Lead and support cyber incident reviews and management activities with cybersecurity teams.
• Review the use of artificial intelligence in products and collaborate with the Global Privacy Office on customer and supplier contractual provisions.
• Define and negotiate technology partnerships and provide legal guidance on global commercial transactions involving technology and data.
• Advise executive leadership, manage external counsel when needed, and support training and cross-functional alignment across Legal, Engineering, Product, Security, Privacy, Finance, and Corporate teams.

Requirements

• Law degree, ideally at Master's level, with appropriate qualification as an attorney, solicitor, barrister, or equivalent.
• At least 12 years of post-qualification experience across private practice and industry, focused on technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data, and related legal matters.
• Solid experience in AI, cybersecurity, data, technology-related legal matters, and commercial contract negotiation.
• Relevant certifications or training such as ECPC-AI, AIGP, ECPC-B Professional DPO, CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to present and explain legal concepts clearly.
• Strong analytical, prioritization, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
