What you will do

• Own sustaining engineering and corrective action development for body and closure systems across the in-service fleet and production vehicles.
• Drive end-to-end resolution of field and manufacturing issues including door systems, latches, actuators, sealing, and body structures.
• Analyze fleet data such as MTBF and repeat failure rates to prioritize work and validate solutions.
• Lead design updates and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Change Actions.
• Develop and execute validation plans at the component, system, and vehicle levels.
• Partner with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve reliability and manufacturability.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in powertrain, thermal, battery, or EV systems within a product development, manufacturing, or sustaining environment.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver subsystem-level corrective actions that improve reliability, durability, or serviceability.
• Experience with root cause analysis, DFMEA, and product/process validation.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience in autonomous vehicles.
• Experience with Design for Manufacturing and Design for Service (DFM/DFS), Lean, or Six Sigma.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (CATIA preferred) and tools like 3DX, DELMIA, SAP, JIRA, or Confluence.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as SQL and Python.
