What you will do

• Own the multi-year roadmap for Cloud, Orchestration, and Kafka ecosystems, aligning technical debt with AI-native initiatives.
• Act as Product Owner for the internal platform, conducting user research with developers to create a seamless self-service experience.
• Lead the architecture of high-scale AWS environments optimized for AI workloads using Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Design and implement automated, AI-driven guardrails to enforce security and architectural standards.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing team of 8 engineers, providing technical leadership and career coaching.
• Oversee the delivery of high-throughput event streaming via Kafka/MSK for mission-critical data.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Cloud, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• 2-3 years in a leadership role managing high-performing engineering teams.
• Deep technical expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Expert-level knowledge of Kafka/MSK and event-driven architectures.
• Practical understanding of applying AI techniques (RAG, LLM-driven automation) to operational workflows.
• Must be based in the USA.
