Salary: $206,550 – $243,000

What you will do

• Lead a team of platform engineers building flexible, reliable, and scalable core services and tools.
• Define team charter, ownership boundaries, and mission for shared libraries and services.
• Drive quality and velocity of product development through platform infrastructure.
• Mentor senior engineers in technical domains like distributed systems and microservices.
• Ensure scalability and security using AWS services like IAM, VPC, and EKS.

Requirements

• 5+ years building and maintaining backend platform infrastructure or shared services for multiple product teams
• 3+ years directly managing high-performing engineering teams, focusing on people development and performance
• Proven track record mentoring senior engineers in distributed systems, microservices, or cloud-native infrastructure
• High familiarity with AWS (IAM, VPC, EKS) for scalability and security
• Experience maintaining shared tooling with reliability focus, including SLOs and high-availability systems

Nice to have

• High-level understanding of Kubernetes for containerized workloads
• Experience with eventing systems and message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Ability to drive adoption of internal developer platforms cross-functionally
• Strong coaching through architectural transitions and career development
