What you will do
- Prepare and present reinsurance proposals including claims analysis, costs, terms, and conditions
- Negotiate insurance and reinsurance placements
- Maintain knowledge of reinsurance marketplace trends, regulations, and developments
- Develop relationships with clients and serve as primary contact for carrier audits
- Collaborate with claims, accounting, underwriting, and marketing teams
- Lead strategic analysis to identify opportunities and oversee internal reinsurance processes
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in P&C reinsurance operations, sales, or underwriting
- College degree (preferred)
- Technical knowledge of reinsurance markets, placements, wording, and coverage
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Analytical, math, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel
- Ability to travel up to 10%
