What you will do
- Design and execute quantitative and qualitative data collection efforts, including surveys, interview protocols, and focus group guides.
- Manage end-to-end data collection logistics, including programming, recruitment, and ensuring data quality.
- Conduct descriptive, trend, and regression-based analyses to address specific research questions.
- Clean, merge, and validate datasets, integrating administrative data with survey responses.
- Translate research findings into actionable deliverables, such as written summaries and Tableau dashboards.
- Develop materials and training to help internal partners interpret and utilize research data effectively.
Requirements
- Authorization to work in the United States is required.
- Experience conducting applied research with educators, students, or school-based stakeholders.
- Proficiency in survey and interview instrument design, including skip logic and response scales.
- Ability to clean and manage complex quantitative and qualitative datasets.
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and statistical software such as Stata or R.
- Familiarity with qualitative coding and thematic analysis using tools like Atlas.ti, NVivo, or Dedoose.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in education research, public policy, statistics, or social sciences.
- Proficiency in Qualtrics or Sawtooth for instrument programming.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Ability to travel 2-3 times a year for business purposes.
