What you will do
- Lead, coach, and develop software engineering employees to meet organizational goals and personal growth.
- Manage core HR processes, including performance reviews, compensation, and hiring of experienced and graduate-level talent.
- Identify and remove organizational and cultural impediments to enhance team performance and collaboration.
- Serve as a leader of the software engineering craft, establishing best practices and future technical direction.
- Collaborate across the technology team and other internal groups to identify and resolve organizational gaps.
- Foster a trusting, positive, and self-organizing team culture focused on continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in software engineering.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to lead self-organizing teams and drive organizational change through influence.
- Deep understanding of all SDLC disciplines, including Project Management, Requirements, Design, QA, and Deployment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for high-impact interaction with diverse audiences.
- Must be based in Cincinnati, OH
