Location: On-site in Vancouver, BC (5 days a week)

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including cloud services, professional services, and marketing contracts.
• Develop and implement corporate governance best practices, board communications, and record-keeping.
• Manage organizational policies and frameworks to ensure compliance with federal, provincial, state, and local laws.
• Identify and evaluate potential legal risks and advise business partners on mitigation strategies.
• Manage and protect the company's intellectual property portfolio.
• Provide legal guidance on M&A, commercial real estate, and occasional HR/employment matters.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer and member in good standing with a provincial or state bar (BC or California preferred).
• 5+ years of corporate and commercial experience as a generalist in an in-house role.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various internal clients.
• Strong prioritization skills to handle multiple complex projects with demanding deadlines.
• Experience advising cross-functional teams on commercial, operational, and strategic matters.
• Must be based in Vancouver and available to work on-site 5 days a week.

• Understanding of digital products, licensing arrangements, and data governance.
