Senior Data Scientist (Big Data): Leverage Big Data to generate insights fueling hirify.global’s business decisions with an accent on device hardware/software health monitoring, A/B testing, and data-driven recommendations. Focus on developing dashboards, pipelines, and visualizations to solve complex platform issues and enhance streaming experience.

Location: Hybrid in San Jose, CA. Expected to report to the office Monday-Thursday.

Salary: $179,900 - $212,300 annually (California only).

What you will do

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to monitor key metrics for device hardware and software health.
• Analyze structured and unstructured data to communicate insights, identify trends, and enable data-driven decisions.
• Build data pipelines for automation, validation, and reporting; create proxies for unavailable data.
• Design and execute A/B tests to improve customer streaming experience.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align data science initiatives with business goals.
• Stay current with data science trends, including AI, to drive innovation.

Requirements

• 5+ years in data analytics, data science, or business intelligence; product analytics preferred.
• Excellent SQL and Big Data experience.
• Coding in Python or R.
• Hands-on with Tableau, Looker, or similar visualization tools.
• Statistics knowledge including A/B experimentation and inference.
• Strong communication, investigative skills, and ability to work across time zones; academic background in math, stats, physics, data science, CS, or economics.
