TL;DR
Data Scientist/Statistician (Semiconductor): Developing statistical methodologies, predictive models, and AI/ML applications for semiconductor process control and change control decisions with an accent on data analysis, process capability, and factory automation. Focus on building data-driven applications, conducting large-scale experimentation, and solving complex process development and transfer problems across Intel's virtual factory network.
Location: Hybrid role based at sites in Phoenix, Arizona, or Hillsboro, Oregon, United States, with regular on-site work.
Annual salary: $116,010–$228,070 USD

What you will do
- Apply statistical methodologies and data analysis to support change control decisions.
- Improve process capability, matching, and stability through process control systems.
- Use predictive modeling, machine learning, data mining, and statistical techniques to analyze structured and unstructured data.
- Develop software, algorithms, large-scale experiments, and data-driven applications that translate data into actionable ligence.
- Support causal inference, pattern discovery, and relationship analysis for business problems.
- Partner with factory automation, process, and integration analytics teams on semiconductor process development and system transfers.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, or Industrial Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in statistics or data science.
- 2+ years of experience with quality systems, including process control or change control systems.
- 1+ year of experience with Power BI or similar dashboards.
- 1+ year of experience in data analytics, machine learning, and relational databases.
- Ability to code statistical analysis, data cleaning, and data manipulation using Python, SQL, R, JMP, JSL, or similar tools.
Nice to have
- Experience with fault detection systems and factory automation systems.
- 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Knowledge of Spark, NiFi, Hadoop, HBase, S3 object storage, Kubernetes, REST APIs, and services.
- Experience with CI/CD, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.
