TL;DR

People Data Scientist (AI): Designing and implementing research frameworks and measurement strategies to optimize organizational health and employee experience with an accent on psychometrics, causal inference, and statistical modeling. Focus on evaluating AI-assisted workflows, building scalable people science infrastructure, and translating complex data into executive-ready narratives.

Location: Hybrid (3 days in office per week) in San Francisco, CA. Relocation assistance is provided.

Salary: $198K – $260K + Equity

What you will do

• Design rigorous research and evaluation strategies for organizational health, manager effectiveness, and talent outcomes.
• Conduct fairness, adverse impact, validity, and measurement-invariance analyses for high-stakes people processes and AI workflows.
• Apply advanced statistical modeling and machine learning to inform program design and quantify business impact.
• Build scalable people science infrastructure, including agentic tools, automated validation workflows, and analytical pipelines.
• Develop research playbooks to establish rigorous standards for study design and documentation across the organization.
• Communicate findings through concise, executive-ready narratives.

Requirements

• Expertise in research design, experimentation, measurement, and causal inference.
• Hands-on experience with psychometrics, survey methodology, SEM, and multilevel modeling.
• High proficiency in R or Python and SQL for analyzing complex datasets.
• Experience building measurement systems, data products, and reusable analytics frameworks.
• Ability to communicate complex methods and tradeoffs clearly to senior leaders.

Nice to have

• Experience evaluating AI-assisted workflows and human-AI decision processes in operational contexts.
• Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in I-O Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Statistics, Economics, or Data Science.
