What you will do
- Support program leads as primary administrative contact for large-scale student events like Jumpstart Orientation and Indigenous Summer Camps, coordinating planning and execution with campus units.
- Manage event task tracking, develop plans, document logistics, and maintain records including schedules and vendor details.
- Book venues, arrange catering, AV, furnishings, registration systems, transportation, and other logistics.
- Handle communications requests, liaise with campus partners and vendors for event readiness.
- Process financial transactions in Workday including requisitions, purchase orders, expense reports, budgets, and payments.
- Ensure compliance with policies, accessibility standards, and contribute to process improvements and standardized tools.
Requirements
- Completion of two years post-secondary education and over two years related experience or equivalent.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise systems like Workday.
- Problem-solving, adaptability, and customer-service orientation in student-focused environment.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and respecting diverse perspectives.
Nice to have
- Experience in post-secondary or complex multi-unit organizations.
- Familiarity with HR/financial systems, registration/event management software.
- Knowledge of accessibility, risk management, equity in event planning.
- Experience with large-scale events and diverse stakeholders.
