Director, Program Design (Energy/Climate)

TL;DR

Location: Fully remote across Canada and the U.S.

What you will do

• Lead the assessment, prioritization, and management of funding opportunities, RFPs, and partnership proposals.
• Design equity-centered programs using needs assessments, logic models, customer journey maps, and theories of change.
• Translate funding requirements and policy objectives into scalable program strategies and operational plans.
• Develop budgets, pricing models, KPI frameworks, and evaluation strategies in collaboration with finance teams.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration as a proposal project manager to ensure successful submissions and handoffs.
• Serve as the primary liaison with funders and partners throughout the onboarding process.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience in program design, strategy, or proposal management leadership.
• Proven track record of leading complex RFP responses from evaluation through submission.
• Experience working with governments, utilities, nonprofits, or regulated industries.
• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
• Must be based in Canada or the U.S.
• Availability aligned to PST or MST working hours preferred.
