Service Technician

TL;DR

Service Technician (Wind Turbines): Repair and maintain wind turbine generators and related equipment at the wind farm with an accent on safety analyses, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades. Focus on troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, conducting root cause analyses, and ensuring 24/7 operational reliability.

Location: Onsite in Hettinger, ND, US (must be able to travel to site within 45 minutes in emergency)

What you will do

• Repair and maintain wind turbines and equipment at the wind farm.
• Support 24/7 operations with rotating shifts, overtime, and on-call duties.
• Conduct safety analyses for energy sources, electrical, and mechanical hazards.
• Assist in root cause analyses for equipment failures.
• Complete documentation for maintenance and report activities in Movilizer.
• Read electrical and hydraulic schematics and use computer skills.

Requirements

• Speak and understand English fluently to communicate safety instructions
• High school diploma or GED; certification in wind/technical/engineering preferred
• 0-1 year wind experience; ability to work with medium/high-voltage equipment
• Physical ability: lift 50 lbs, climb 300+ ft ladders daily, meet 265 lbs weight limit for gear
• Valid driver's license, insurable; ability to obtain U.S. Passport; ~10% travel
• Pass pre-employment physical; work in extreme weather, confined spaces
