What you will do
- Lead engagement with a portfolio of 4–6 states via the State Implementation Fund as the primary relationship manager.
- Contribute to the state program strategy and organizational planning using a practitioner's lens.
- Translate organizational strategy into actionable program plans, managing timelines and deliverables.
- Cultivate deep, trusted relationships with state education agency leaders, district partners, and program staff.
- Monitor and analyze legislation and policy issues affecting state program partners to inform internal planning.
- Collaborate with other Managing Directors to ensure cohesive execution across the full state portfolio.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of professional experience in a senior leadership role managing large-scale programs or divisions.
- Prior experience leading work within a State Education Agency (strongly preferred) or a large, high-performing district.
- Demonstrated success driving multi-stakeholder initiatives that produced measurable improvements in student outcomes.
- Experience managing grant relationships and setting performance expectations at scale.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate data into actionable guidance.
- Must be based in the United States to align with US state agencies and benefits.
