$117,000 - $140,000 a year (base salary; total comp includes RSUs, stock, sign-on bonus)

What you will do

• Lead local operational safety for rapid incident response to vehicles involved in incidents.
• Support organization-wide on-call duties, including data gathering, interviews, evidence collection for safety events, near-misses, and concerns.
• Lead deep-dive learning events into safety incidents and implement mitigations.
• Build relationships with cross-functional teams (Fleet Ops, Engineering, Software, Hardware, Legal) to advise on safety-critical issues.
• Collaborate with training to develop and execute safety training programs.
• Track, report, and use safety metrics to manage risks; champion team collaboration.

Requirements

• 4+ years in Operational Safety, Field Safety, OSH, EHS, Law Enforcement, Fire Service, Emergency Management, or similar fast-paced role.
• Excellent emotional intelligence and empathetic communication.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, Slack (or quick learner).
• BS in OSH, EHS, Emergency Management, or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive/autonomous driving or transportation safety.
• First responder background in vehicle incident response.
• Knowledge of high voltage DC systems, lithium-ion batteries, AVSC Best Practices, ISO 39000.
