What you will do

• Execute commissioning for medium and low voltage power distribution, switchgear, UPS, and generators in data center environments.
• Perform point-to-point wiring checks, functional testing, calibration, and system integration verification.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup phases.
• Develop and execute detailed commissioning test procedures, scripts, and documentation.
• Collaborate with EPC contractors, OEM vendors, and engineers to coordinate energization sequences.
• Maintain accurate as-built documentation, test records, and commissioning reports.

Requirements

• 3+ years of electrical commissioning or field technician experience in data centers, power plants, or industrial facilities.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V and proficiency with testing equipment (meggers, multimeters, etc.).
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and NETA standards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
• Current OSHA 10/30 or equivalent training.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work extended hours, nights, and weekends.

Nice to have

• NETA certification (Level II or higher), NICET, or Journeyman Electrician license.
• Prior experience on hyperscale data center projects or mission-critical facilities.
• Knowledge of PLC/controls troubleshooting and SCADA systems.
• Technical degree or trade school certification in Electrical Engineering Technology.
