Data Scientist II, New College Grad- Master's (AI)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; travel up to 10% of the time; relocation eligible

Salary: $119,500–$164,500 per year, plus potentially applicable bonus and stock awards

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions including search, summarization, agentic automation, and AI-assisted decision support.
• Build data pipelines, ingestion workflows, and reusable components that scale across use cases.
• Move analytical work from notebooks to production with documented methods, data lineage, and clear ownership.
• Develop and evaluate statistical and machine learning models, including analysis of failure modes.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to structure ambiguous problems and define measurable outcomes.
• Create Tableau and Power BI dashboards and applications, and present findings to business and executive audiences.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in data science, operations research, engineering, computer science, statistics, supply chain analytics, or another quantitative field.
• Demonstrated skills in data science and business analytics.
• Strong Python skills for data analysis and machine learning, including Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and scikit-learn.
• Strong SQL, database, data modeling, data engineering, machine learning, statistical, and big data fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks or a comparable cloud data platform such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
• Applied generative AI and LLM experience, including prompting, RAG, LLM APIs, agentic workflows, and output evaluation.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Knowledge of supply chain management, circular economy, and reverse value chain processes.
• End-to-end machine learning or AI solution delivery through deployment.
• Production LLM applications, including RAG pipelines, agents, or evaluation harnesses.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, or DMAIC process improvement methodologies.
