Design Verification Lead (AI Hardware): Leading a team to validate the functionality and performance of next-generation AI cores with an accent on AI-specific data types and on-chip network validation. Location: Hybrid based in Toronto, ON, Canada
Compensation: $100k - $500k (including base and variable targets)

What you will do
- Guide a team of Verification Engineers to validate the functionality and performance of next-generation AI hardware.
- Shape test strategies for AI cores, focusing on tensor-based operations and AI data-movement compute patterns.
- Architect verification plans for mixed-precision data types including FP8, BF16, and INT8.
- Benchmark on-chip networks (NoC) under high-demand traffic to ensure peak throughput and bandwidth.
- Implement robust concurrency controls and error injection to handle edge-case failures and ensure system stability.
- Collaborate across hardware architecture and software teams to ensure performance targets are met.
Requirements
- Proven track record as an ASIC/SoC lead through complex tape-outs.
- Expertise in AI/ML architectures and the intricacies of tensor-based operations.
- Proficiency in UVM, SystemVerilog, and cocotb.
- Experience in system-level verification and on-chip network (NoC) validation.
- Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology (contingent on citizenship/permanent residency or license approval).
- Location: Must be based in Toronto, ON
