What you will do

• Evaluate and lead efforts to normalize database architecture and optimize data models for performance and scalability.
• Design architecture patterns to migrate business logic from Oracle stored procedures to application tiers.
• Replace custom deployment tools with enterprise-grade solutions like Liquibase, Flyway, or DACPAC.
• Analyze and refactor long-running queries to eliminate bottlenecks and improve customer experience.
• Architect database CI/CD processes to ensure reliability and repeatability of schema changes across environments.
• Mentor engineering teams on database best practices, performance optimization, and modern data patterns.

Requirements

• 10+ years of database engineering and architecture experience, including 5+ years with enterprise-scale systems.
• 8+ years of deep Oracle expertise focused on performance tuning, query optimization, and execution plan analysis.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Strong experience with database deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Must be based in the USA.

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an MBA with a technical focus.
