What you will do

  • Manage key aerospace and defense accounts, building trust-based relationships to exceed client expectations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, coordinating the full order fulfillment lifecycle from inquiry to post-sale support.
  • Maintain accurate records in the ERP system to ensure traceability and compliance with AS9100 standards.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to align production schedules and manufacturability with customer specifications.
  • Partner with Commercial and Finance teams to negotiate contracts, pricing, and track project costs.
  • Monitor account health and deliver executive summaries on KPIs such as on-time delivery and satisfaction scores.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in account management or sales, preferably within the aerospace, defense, or electronics manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes (PCB population, box builds, environmental testing).
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9000, and FAA compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems for maintaining order books and tracking opportunities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Work authorization and physical presence in Manhattan, KS, United States.

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace or defense account management.
  • Experience managing government contracts.
  • Certification in sales/account management or as an AS9100 auditor.
  • Knowledge of lean principles or supply chain management.
