Tableau Analyst

TL;DR

Tableau Analyst: Supporting analytics and reporting across the organization by building self-service visualizations and dashboards in Tableau from Databricks lakehouse with an accent on stakeholder enablement and data-driven insights. Focus on writing performant SQL queries, designing intuitive reports, and automating scalable workflows.

Location: Remote from USA only, residing in one of: CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, ME, MA, MD, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, WA. Unable to hire within Chicago city limits; self-relocation required if applicable. NOT eligible for visa sponsorship.

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 per year (CA, CO, MD, NJ, WA, NY)

What you will do

• Build self-service data visualizations, dashboards, and reports in Tableau for stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Support, and Product.
• Partner with business teams to understand needs and deliver scalable analytics solutions.
• Write performant SQL to explore, model, and surface data from Databricks lakehouse.
• Support data access, governance, and collaboration with data engineers and scientists.
• Identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and scale reporting workflows.
• Document datasets, metrics, and dashboards to promote data literacy.

Requirements

• BS in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Analytics, or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years in analytics role supporting business reporting and stakeholder enablement; SaaS experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports in Tableau required.
• High proficiency in SQL for complex queries and large datasets.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication for technical/non-technical audiences.
• Experience in fast-paced environment handling ambiguity.

• Python, pandas, Jupyter notebooks.
• Databricks or other cloud data platforms.
• Modern data stack: dbt, Fivetran.
