What you will do

• Monitor all plant systems continuously and respond to operational alarms with immediate corrective actions.
• Lead and direct employees under the shift supervisor to oversee facility operations.
• Execute plant start-up and shut-down procedures to meet generating requirements safely and efficiently.
• Train other operators on the operating principles of power facility systems, components, and steam cycles.
• Maintain required logs and calculations, observing them for indications of faulty operation.
• Provide operational guidance to Crane, Auxiliary, and Back Plant Operators.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of ASME QRO Provisional Licensing exam required within the first year.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and some holidays.
• Physical ability to lift/carry 50lbs, climb, and work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Ability to qualify for and wear a full-face respirator.
