TL;DR
Income Tracking Analyst (Music Publishing): Supporting revenue tracking and income administration for Warner Chappell Music’s APAC and global catalogues with an accent on high-volume data analysis, affiliate coordination, and discrepancy resolution. Focus on identifying income shortfalls, forecasting provider revenue, and preventing collection issues across societies, DSPs, sub-publishers, royalty, and copyright teams.
Location: Beijing, China; minimum four days per week in the office

What you will do
- Track and administer income across Warner Chappell Music APAC and global catalogues.
- Identify and claim income shortfalls across territories.
- Coordinate with affiliate offices, PROs/CMOs, DSPs, and sub-publishers to resolve discrepancies and interruptions.
- Resolve affiliate income queries and provide regular forecasts and updates by income provider.
- Support ad hoc forecasts, income analysis, and income-tracking projects.
- Collaborate with global Income Tracking, Royalty, and Copyright teams to prevent collection issues.
Requirements
- Degree in Administration, Music, Finance, or a relevant field.
- Three to four years of relevant income or revenue tracking experience, or two to three years in music publishing or three years in the music industry.
- Ability to analyze, extract, and manipulate high-volume data files with a forensic, detail-oriented approach.
- English and Traditional and Simplified Chinese and Malay are required.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables and formulas.
- Strong organization, stakeholder communication, independent working, and deadline-management skills.
Nice to have
- Ability to write scripts to automate tasks.
- SQL or Snowflake query experience.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, or Alteryx.
- Understanding of performance rights organizations and international collection society processes.
- Passion for music.
