TL;DR

Sr. Director, People Operations (Fintech): Establishing and leading the People function to scale the organization past 100 employees with an accent on HR infrastructure, compensation frameworks, and operational excellence. Focus on implementing HR tech stacks, designing total rewards strategies, and partnering with leadership on organizational design.

Location: Must be based in the US

Salary: $180,000 – $210,000 + equity

What you will do

  • Build and lead the People function across HR operations and strategic people initiatives.
  • Design and implement scalable HR infrastructure, including payroll, HRIS, and benefits administration systems.
  • Lead compensation and benefits strategy, partnering with Finance to evolve salary frameworks and total rewards.
  • Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executives on organizational design, leadership development, and employee relations.
  • Drive cultural initiatives that enhance engagement, belonging, and manager effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building and scaling People functions from the ground up in rapidly scaling environments.
  • Track record of designing talent processes such as performance management and leadership development frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of compensation philosophy, market benchmarking, and geo-based frameworks.
  • Experience implementing and optimizing People systems and infrastructure (e.g., HRIS, payroll).
  • Working knowledge of employment law and compliance across multiple U.S. states.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coach executive leaders.
