What you will do

• Lead the development of functional safety system requirements and functional decomposition for automotive systems.
• Review and approve HARA, Functional Safety Requirements, Technical Safety Requirements, and Validation tests.
• Define the functional safety concept for system, hardware, and software in accordance with ISO 26262 standards.
• Lead the development of SOTIF requirements for autonomous driving and core subsystems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and design engineers to ensure safety requirements are met.
• Oversee the program functional safety readiness process and track key metrics.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the U.S. is mandatory
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a functional safety engineer or in a related role.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 26262 and a proven track record of delivering major functional safety work products.
• At least one year of experience performing SOTIF analysis and developing associated work products.
• Proficiency with functional safety tools such as Medini or APIS IQ, and requirements management tools like Jama.
• BS degree in computer science, electrical, electronic, or mechatronics engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience working within an Agile development environment.
• Knowledge of CMMI and Automotive Spice standards.
• Experience developing and delivering embedded system hardware and software.
• Advanced engineering degrees.
