is a professional staffing and technical services provider recruiting on behalf of an automotive OEM or Tier 1 client.
What you will do
- Lead the development of functional safety system requirements and functional decomposition for automotive systems.
- Review and approve HARA, Functional Safety Requirements, Technical Safety Requirements, and Validation tests.
- Define the functional safety concept for system, hardware, and software in accordance with ISO 26262 standards.
- Lead the development of SOTIF requirements for autonomous driving and core subsystems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and design engineers to ensure safety requirements are met.
- Oversee the program functional safety readiness process and track key metrics.
Requirements
- Authorization to work in the U.S. is mandatory
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a functional safety engineer or in a related role.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 26262 and a proven track record of delivering major functional safety work products.
- At least one year of experience performing SOTIF analysis and developing associated work products.
- Proficiency with functional safety tools such as Medini or APIS IQ, and requirements management tools like Jama.
- BS degree in computer science, electrical, electronic, or mechatronics engineering.
Nice to have
- Experience working within an Agile development environment.
- Knowledge of CMMI and Automotive Spice standards.
- Experience developing and delivering embedded system hardware and software.
- Advanced engineering degrees.
