TL;DR

Principal Engineer (Engineering Productivity): Provide technical leadership shaping engineering capabilities enterprise-wide with an accent on platform direction, automation, integration, and developer experience. Focus on designing architectural patterns, guiding teams through assessment-learning-reinforcement cycles, and enabling reliable scalable solution delivery.

Location: Remote (US, US work authorization and benefits)

Salary: $161,436 - $218,415 per year

What you will do

  • Design overall architecture for engineering platforms and articulate components and interactions.
  • Implement architecturally impactful solutions, drop into teams to establish collaborative patterns and frameworks.
  • Lead research on new techniques and best practices, sharing across the organization.
  • Collaborate across teams and organization to broker solutions, promote standards, and provide technical expertise.
  • Define engineering standards/patterns, contribute to DevOps practices including CI/CD and incident resolution.
  • Coach engineers, mentor, conduct trainings, and support recruiting top talent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent + 10+ years engineering experience
  • 5+ years leading high-performing technology teams
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated participation and leadership in broader technology community
  • Meet or exceed all expectations of a Lead Engineer role

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Experience coaching/mentoring team members
