What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional engineering team through 1:1s, goal setting, and performance management.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of the monetization stack, including checkout, subscription flows, and invoicing signals.
• Drive architectural and design decisions to support scalability, reliability, and GDPR compliance.
• Champion AI adoption by encouraging AI-assisted workflows to improve team productivity and engineering craft.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data, and Finance teams to shape strategy and define success metrics.
• Maintain high engineering standards regarding code quality, testing strategies, CI/CD, and observability.

Requirements

• Experience leading and coaching software engineering teams, ideally within a product environment.
• Strong technical foundation in backend and distributed systems with confidence in system design.
• Track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives and managing ambiguity.
• Proficiency in using AI assistants to build workflows and critically evaluate AI output.
• Experience in fintech, payments, subscriptions, billing, or other regulated domains.
• Awareness of privacy and security requirements, specifically GDPR and financial data handling.
