Engineering Manager

Location: Hybrid (Madrid, Spain). Must be based in Spain or willing to relocate to Spain.

What you will do

• Inspire and develop engineering teams through mentoring, 1:1s, and career development.
• Own delivery and execution, ensuring high-quality software aligned with company goals.
• Champion process and engineering excellence, advocating for best practices and agile methodologies.
• Provide technical guidance on architectural decisions and complex challenges.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers and Designers.
• Actively participate in recruiting and growing the team.
• Ensure operational excellence, scalability, and reliability of team systems.

Requirements

• 2+ years as an Engineering Manager or Team Lead, with 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience (ideally JavaScript/NodeJS/React).
• Proven experience leading teams and delivering complex software products in agile environments.
• Strong passion for mentoring and coaching engineers.
• Solid technical foundation, capable of guiding teams on architecture, performance, and scalability.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Must be based in Spain (ideally Madrid) or willing to relocate to Spain.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with React, Redux, NodeJS, MongoDB, Python, GCP, Gitlab CI/CD.
• Experience in fintech products or fast-paced startup environments.
