Technical Operations Officer

TL;DR

Technical Operations Officer (Cyber/Defense): Delivering high-quality, hands-on training on technical operations including fiber optic installation, networking, and OPSEC with an accent on adult learning in classified environments. Focus on developing curricula, overseeing courses, training instructors, and maturing training programs for intelligence and defense missions.

Onsite in Sterling, VA area (CONUS) with possibility of OCONUS travel and extended time outside WMA at training facilities.

What you will do

• Deliver engaging, applications-oriented training seminars to professional technical staff on fiber optics, networking, rack integration, and OPSEC.
• Develop training curricula, processes, procedures, and aids tailored to audience.
• Oversee courses including curriculum development, instructor training, student assessment, and program requirements.
• Provide feedback for curriculum updates, maintain program artifacts and records.
• Support planning of training sessions and foster positive learning environments.
• Maintain expertise in technical operations and continuously improve skills.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with full scope polygraph updated within the last five years
• Over 10 years’ experience working with the customer in a classified environment
• Experience in Training of Trainers (ToT) and over 2 years facilitating training and assessment courses
• Managing equipment, data security, physical security, and educator certified skills
• IT experience maintaining Windows and Linux workstations, networking, and communications
• Willingness to spend extended time outside WMA at training facilities
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and written communication skills

Nice to have

• Over 3 years’ experience with customer certified programs
• Advanced degree in Engineering or Education or equivalent
