What you will do

• Support product development and optimization for manufacturing optical and electrical interconnects.
• Collaborate with R&D and Operations to define manufacturing requirements and assembly specs.
• Develop processes, tools, and workflows for seamless production transitions.
• Drive process automation and create efficiency-enhancing tools.
• Transition designs to contract manufacturers and provide on-site support for training and quality.
• Manage product BOMs and lifecycle changes with global teams and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Optical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Production Engineering
• Minimum 5 years in optical/electronics manufacturing or product engineering
• Proven track record launching complex optical/electronic products
• Knowledge of fiber optic transmission and testing methodologies
• Experience owning product BOMs through lifecycle management software (Agile)
• Hands-on with fiber optic assembly, handling, and splicing
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in relevant engineering field
• Experience with specialty/ribbon fiber splicing
• Debugging complex optical assemblies
• High-pressure environments and remote issue resolution
• Strong organizational and project management skills
