Focus on component qualification, yield data analysis, and lab verification to improve manufacturing yield and support telecom giants like Verizon and AT&T.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $34.00/hour CAD

What you will do

• Participate in design process including simulation, functional schematic, physical PCB layout reviews, and documentation.
• Conduct lab hands-on work: hardware debug and electrical design verification against datasheet specs.
• Perform component qualification through spec reviews and research for alternate sources to address shortages or reduce costs.
• Analyze yield data from large-scale manufacturing to assess design or test changes for factory yield improvements.

Requirements

• Location: Ottawa
• Working towards Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Foundational knowledge of lab equipment: multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, basic soldering.
• Proficiency with HW design process (schematic, layout, documentation) and statistical analysis (histogram distributions, Q-Q plots, STDev, CpK).

Nice to have

• Interest in prototyping/embedded hardware projects.
• Experience with Cadence Allegro toolset.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Tcl).
