Energy Engineer III

TL;DR

Energy Engineer III (Energy Efficiency): Support energy savings and emissions reduction initiatives through advanced engineering analysis, energy modeling, and Measurement & Verification (M&V) activities with an accent on leading energy audits across commercial and institutional facilities. Focus on calculating energy savings using engineering principles, developing M&V plans and reports, and conducting QA/QC reviews of deliverables.

Location: Remote role based in Saskatchewan, Canada, with regular travel (~50%) to client sites around the province, focus in and around Regina and Saskatoon

Salary: $90,000 - $103,000 CAD (range $81,300 - $141,100 based on experience)

What you will do

• Lead energy audits and assessments across diverse commercial and institutional building types.
• Perform engineering studies for energy-saving initiatives and deliver technical reports.
• Calculate energy savings using physics, mechanics, fan laws, and thermodynamics.
• Analyze energy consumption data from logging and sub-metering.
• Develop M&V plans and reports.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews and lead client engagements to communicate findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation
• 4+ years in energy management or related field, with proven commercial energy audits experience
• Authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and ability to travel ~50%
• Work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Measurement & Verification certification (CMVP or equivalent).
• Experience with utility-driven energy conservation programs.
• Familiarity with energy data logging and sub-metering.
